Project a Positive Tone
YOUR VOICE NEEDS TO PROJECT A POSITIVE TONE:
When participating in a telephone interview (otherwise known as an HR screening), it is best if you STAND during the conversation. This sound strange – but, it’s true. 
You will project a more positive sounding voice and possibly even a higher energy level. And, you will leave a better impression with the interviewer or HR screener.
Test the Theory
If you’re not sure why or if this works, try sitting down and speaking – you might just read something aloud.
Then, do the same thing standing up. Hold what you are reading in front of your face so you don’t have to look down to read it.
You will be amazed at the difference this makes.
